每个玩石人都是由新手起步,但是有的人成为了敝帚自珍的王婆,有的被动消失在赏石长河中,只有极少数的人能成为赏石大家。什么是赏石大家呢?简而言之,就是不仅要有精妙的藏石,还要能够对赏石文化的发展规律、实践创作等说得出道理。且这道理,非是人云亦云,而是有自己的见解、看法和想法。

The first level: only by willing to work hard can we form our own opinions.Viewing stone appreciation needs soul. The viewing stone that with no soul is just a dead thing. What is the soul of the viewing stone? The soul of viewing stone is the "opinion" that we give to the viewing stone. Only by using our mind and thinking hard about the viewing stone can we form our own opinions and our collected stones have souls.The second level: it’s better to find the problems with ideas.Only when we have our own opinions can we keep the innocence and original heart inside ourselves,and we can find the differences from the other viewing stone players, and then find the conflict between various viewing stone appreciation concepts and creation techniques of viewing stone appreciation. To discover difference is to learn to recognize difference.The third level: with different exploration and opinion can we the new formation of theory.We can find the similarities and differences between the ideas of ancient sages and those of contemporary stone people. In the same place, we need to integrate. In different places, we need to understand why they are different. Especially when we encounter the different ideas and opinions,we should try our best to understand the reason and explore the reason of it. Only in this way can we identify more closely and investigate more deeply, and then gradually form a systematic theory.The fourth level: the combination of theory and practice.Viewing stone appreciation not only requires the theoretical research, but also the practical creation.The theory we have found out by ourselves needs to be applied in practice, and it will be meaningful only if the theory can stand the test of practice. Theory and practice is a process of continuous improvement and deepening.
