湖北沙洋县城河遗址王家墓地2017~2018年发掘简报

Brief Report on 2017-2018 Excavation of the Wangjiabang Cemetery at the Chenghe Site,Shayang County,Hubei

城河遗址位于湖北荆门市沙洋县后港镇双村村十三组、龙垱村三组,地处汉江西侧、长湖北岸,南距荆州古城约40公里,北距荆门市50公里,东北距沙洋县城20公里,东南距汉宜公路3公里。城河及其支流分别流经遗址的西、南及东侧,于遗址东南面汇合。

Archaeological excavation of the Wangjiabang cemetery at the Chenghe site was conducted by the Institute of Archaeology,Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and other institutions during 2017-2018.It revealed 112 tombs and 3 votive pits containing pottery vessels,as well as a large number of artifacts,including pottery vessels,jade and stone yue ceremonial axes,ivory and tusk objects,bamboo baskets,lacquerware,and pig mandibles,etc.The cemetery is characterized by well-preserved burial features,unique burial practices,and rich grave goods.It offers important material for the understanding and study of burial dimensions,forms,features and the spatial distribution of grave goods in the Qujialing culture.
