A process imitating silver gilding of black copper was introduced.Brass or red copper was used as substrate.The process mainly composed of pattern design,pretreatment,chemical etching or laser carving,pre-blackening,heat blackening,grinding of pattern,chemical silver coloring of pattern,and sealing with varnish.The given process is easy and simple.The products obtained thereby feature distinct color gradation and vivid effect,which can be comparable with the traditional black copperwares gilt with silver.
