The higher vocational skills contest has now become part of the Chinese vocational education system.The research discusses the role of the skill contest in terms of promoting school education and teaching reform,improving students'comprehensive quality and school influence.By analyzing relevant factors that affect student participation,it proposes a sound vocational contest incentive mechanism,enriches daily teaching methods,and strengthens the propaganda of skills contest.
