On Translators'Cultural Security Consciousness

在实施"文化走出去"战略过程中,作为传播语言与文化的中国译者,面对西方文化霸权主义,只有具备相应的文化安全自觉,才能发挥和加强翻译在捍卫国家安全中的作用。在翻译实践中,译者的自我定力至关重要:一方面,既要在吸收和借鉴他国语言和文化的过程中保护自我民族语言和文化,维护自我民族身份;另一方面,译者要真正发挥翻译主体的作用,在文本选择和翻译过程中,自觉地承担传播中国文化的责任和义务。

In implementing the Culture's Export-oriented strategy,the Chinese translators,who bear the responsibility and obligation to spread language and culture,facing Western cultural hegemony,in the process of translation practice,only with corresponding cultural security consciousness,can play and strengthen the role of translation in safeguarding national cultural security.The translators should control themselves in the process of translation.On the one hand,it is necessary for them to absorb and learn from foreign languages and cultures,protect national language and culture and maintain national identity.On the other hand,the translators should give full play to the role of the translation subject,in the process of text selection and translating,consciously undertake the responsibility and obligation to spread Chinese culture.
