The sense of hardships and the spirit of struggling are deeply rooted into the culture of Northern Shaanxi due to its poor living environment and the cross transitional geographical location.Lu Yao’s special concept of literature is constructed on the sense of hardships which restricts his creation activity and manifested clearly in his works.Lu Yao’s unique understanding about the function of literary is to face up to the struggle bravely that embodied in his own creating process and characters in the novel.
