傣族神话叙事与佛教艺术--以佛寺经画与剪纸为例

傣族佛寺内有许多经画,主题有佛祖史记、佛经故事、民间神话故事、民众生产生活景象等等;也有各种剪纸、佛幡,是民众礼佛活动中的赕品,是功德善举的方式。无论是经画还是剪纸、佛幡,它们都是南传佛教的符号,是以视觉形象阐释神话叙事的载体。傣族佛寺艺术的创作者来自普通百姓,作品记录了民众的生产生活和传统习俗,蕴藏着本土文化和信仰。这些佛教艺术具有一定的社会功能,如教化普罗大众、美化环境、传播大众审美以及传承多元文化等等。

There are many paintings in Dai Buddhist temples,which are themed on the history of Buddhist,sutra stories,folk myths,people’s traditional production scenes,etc. There are also various paper cuttings and Buddhist flags,which are the products of people’s Buddhist rites and the carriers of merit and virtue.These paintings,paper cuttings,and Buddhist flags are the symbols of Buddhism,and they are ways to interpret mythological narratives with visual images. The authors of these Buddhist temple arts are villagers.Their works record people’s daily activities and traditional customs,reflecting local culture and primitive belief. These Buddhist arts have important social functions,such as educating the general public,beautifying temple environment,spreading popular aesthetics and inheriting diverse cultures.
