A Detailed Research of the Historical Facts of Zhen Fan(真番)

学界对真番的历史概况知之甚少。作者认为真番人来源于发人,真番国地望位于发人故地,地域分布范围在今东辽河中上游、梅河、柳河、辉发河中上游、浑江中上游流域,南界直至鸭绿江中游北岸,北界和东界都与濊人相邻。汉初武帝消灭卫氏朝鲜后,在真番国故地设置真番郡,真番郡郡治设在霅县,地望位于沸流水,即今富尔江流域,县治(所)可能是富尔江畔的转水湖山城。始元五年(前82年),真番郡并入玄菟郡,真番人自此逐渐融入中华民族大家庭。

Little is known about the historical outline of Zhen Fan.The author believes that Zhen Fan people came from the Fa people(发人),Zhen Fan Country located at the former place of the Fa People and the location included today supper and midstream of the East Liao river(东辽河),the Mei river(梅河)and the Liu river(柳河),the upper and midstream of the Huifa river(辉发河),the upper and midstream of the Hun river(浑江).Its southern front was the north side of the midstream of the Yalu river(鸭绿江),while its northern and eastern fronts adjoined the area of the Hui People(濊人).Emperor Hanwudi(汉武帝)established the Zhen Fan prefecture when he conquered the Wei Chaoxian(卫氏朝鲜).The prefecture capital was in Zha County(霅县)which located at the Feiliu river(沸流水),just present day s Fu er river(富尔江),and the Mountain City beside the Zhuanshui Lake(转水湖山城)may be the relics of the city.In the year of 82 B.C.,the Zhen Fan prefecture had been amalgamated into Xuantu(玄菟)prefecture,from then on,the Zhen Fan people had been merged into the big family of the Chinese Nation.
