Research on Xunzi's Thought of Social Governance from the Perspective of Sociology

荀子的社会治理思想以天人观、性恶论为思想基础,以隆礼重法为核心观点,立足于战国末期群雄争霸、局势动乱的社会现实,通过强调明分使群、尚贤使能、王者制名等方法,明确礼法规范所带来的社会功能,既推崇礼义教化,也重视刑罚压制。荀子希望重整社会秩序、建立新兴地主阶级“群居和一”的理想社会,虽然带有时代和阶级的局限性,但其社会治理思想中的优秀观点历久弥新,对当今社会治理也具有极高的借鉴价值。

Xunzi's thought of social governance is based on the concept of nature-man integral whole and evil nature of human beings,and takes the thought of prospering etiquette and respecting laws as the core point of view,which is based on the social reality of hegemony and turmoil in the late Warring States period.By emphasizing the methods of distinguishing the groups,making proper use of the talents,and the system of self center built by governors by naming everything,the social functions brought about by the ritual norms are clearly defined.They not only respect courtesy but also attach importance to punishment suppression.Xunzi hopes to reorganize the social order and establish an ideal society of“group and one”in the emerging landlord class.Although it has the limitations of the times and the class,the excellent views in his social governance ideology have been updated for a long time,and it also has a very high value for social governance today.
