Significance of Anthropology for the Globalization of Traditional Chinese Medicine

医学人类学是关于健康、疾病和医疗系统的跨文化研究,具有重视人的生物性及文化性的特点,是不同医学之间沟通的桥梁,并且能从多方面助益跨文化健康服务。它与中医学在方法学上具有相通性,因此,医学人类学能够助力中医药文化深入人心,提升中医药国际话语生产能力,增强中医药参与公共卫生治理的能力,助力中医药国际化发展。

Medical anthropology is a cross-cultural study on health, disease and medical systems. It has the characteristics of attaching importance to human biological and cultural characteristics. It is a communication bridge between different medicines and can help cross-cultural health services in many ways. With the similarity to traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) in methodology, medical anthropology can help TCM culture penetrate into the hearts of the people, enhance the production capacity of TCM international speech, enhance the ability of TCM to participate in public health governance, and promote the international development of TCM.
