This paper introduces Chief Physician Zhang Zhenyu’s experience in treating varicose ulcer of lower extremity by combining eliminating pathogenic factors with strengthening the body’s right.He believes that the pathological factors of varicose ulcer of lower extremity are heat,toxin,blood stasis,dampness and deficiency.The main pathogenesis is pathogenic excess and deficiency.He uses the method of eliminating pathogenic factors and strengthening the body's right to treat varicose ulcer of lower extremity.Eliminating pathogens by clearing away heat,detoxifying heat and toxin,activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis,removing dampness,detoxifying dampness and toxin,and removing viscera toxin through dredging;nourishing qi,nourishing yin and blood to promote self-regulation and balance,so as to restore the body’s homeostasis.
