摘要
新冠肺炎疫情成为2020年初重大突发性公共卫生事件。在人口流动限制应对政策下,传统银行业务受到一定影响,各银行都大力推进金融科技业务以应对这种变化。那么,银行金融科技发挥了怎样作用?公众的金融服务选择变化会促进银行服务转型吗?本文以某大型国有商业银行为例,在构建银行金融科技指数的基础上,使用新冠疫情期间的经营数据检验分析其绩效。结果发现:银行客户正在改变其金融消费行为习惯,对银行金融科技服务的认可度不断提高,从而使银行金融科技业务实现相对正向增长,一定程度上抵消了疫情对传统线下业务的负向冲击,发挥了“稳定器”作用。深入研究作用机制时发现,除了银行关闭物理网点使客户被动选择金融科技服务,出于避免感染的风险考虑,客户主动选择银行金融科技服务。由此,本文提出银行金融服务数字化转型的建议。
The COVID-19 became a major public health emergency in early 2020.Due to the restrictive policy on population mobility,traditional banking has been shocked to such an extent that all banks are vigorously developing financial technology(Fintech)to cope with this change.So how does Fintech work?Will changes in the public’s choice of financial service facilitate the transformation of banking service?Taking a large state-owned commercial bank as an example,this paper builds its Fintech index and utilizes the relevant business data during the COVID-19 to examine and analyze Fintech’s performance.The results show that clients are changing their financial consumption habits and increasingly enhancing their recognition of Fintech so that Fintech business has achieved relatively positive growth,which has to some extent offset the negative impact of COVID-19 on traditional offline business as a“stabilizer”.An in-depth study of its working mechanism reveals the clients’choice of Fintech is not only a passive one due to the closure of branch banks,but also an active choice out of infection prevention.Therefore,this paper proposes some advice on the digital transformation of financial service.
