Comparison of Patent Value Between China and USA and Its Enlightenment

比较中美产/学/研专利价值,有助于洞察两国专利价值的演进及差异。基于Incopat全球知识产权数据专业分析平台获取的专利价值度指标,分别选择中国和美国的大学、公司与科研院所,进行了两个国家产学研不同类型的专利价值比较。结果显示,两国产学研专利价值在其专利获得授权的初始阶段都比较接近,但之后的发展趋势却有着较大差异:美国产/学/研专利价值在获得授权后呈现明显的上升发展态势;中国产/学/研专利价值整体上的下降趋势比较明显。数据发现给我们的重要启示是,中国大学、公司和科研院所不仅要重视知识产权的创造,更要高度重视知识产权的商业运营,加强知识产权的运用、管理和保护等一系列工作;提高专利价值成为中国大学、公司和科研院所专利发展的当务之急。

Comparing the patent value of Chinese and American enterprise-university-research will help us to understand the evolution and differences of patent value between the two countries.Based on the patent value index obtained by Incopat global intellectual property data professional analysis platform,universities,companies and research institutes in China and the United States were selected respectively to compare the patent value of different types of enterprise,university and research in two countries.The results show that the patent value of enterprise-university-research in the two countries are close at the initial stage of patent licensing,but there are great differences in the development trend after that:the patent value of enterprise-university-research in the United States shows an obvious upward trend after being authorized;the patent value of enterprise-university-research in China as a whole has a significant downward trend.The important enlightenment of data discovery is that Chinese universities,companies and research institutes should not only attach importance to the creation of intellectual property rights,but also pay high attention to the commercial operation of intellectual property rights,strengthen the application,management and protection of intellectual property rights,etc.To improve the patent value has become the top priority of patent development of Chinese universities,companies and research institutes.
