The pattern of Chinese traditional clothing embodies the profound Chinese culture and the spirit and wisdom of Chinese people in pursuit of a better life.Applying the pattern of Chinese traditional clothing to modern clothing design is conducive to promoting Chinese culture.This paper firstly outlines the origin,evolution and modern inheritance of Chinese traditional clothing culture and patterns,then discusses the relationship between modern clothing design and Chinese traditional clothing patterns from three aspects of clothing processing technology,clothing materials and clothing styles,and finally puts forward a design method that can not only display traditional clothing culture,but also has a sense of the times.
