A Review of the Researches on the Southwest Bureau of the CPC Central Committee Since the Reform and Opening Up

中共中央西南局是中华人民共和国成立初期在全国设立的六个大区之一,邓小平为中共中央西南局第一书记,驻地重庆。改革开放以来,以《邓小平西南工作文集》为代表的关于西南局的史料逐步出版,为西南局研究奠定了初步基础。在研究内容上,学术界主要围绕西南局的军事工作、民族工作、经济工作、政权建设、党的建设、社会建设等方面进行研究,取得了较为丰硕的成果。检视已有研究,以邓小平主政西南局期间的研究为中心是西南局研究的显著特点。西南局研究要向纵深发展,还需做好基本文献的整理,注重西南局研究时段与人物的完整性,加强西南局与其他大区的比较研究,协调好西南局时期的邓小平研究与西南局研究的关系,深挖西南局辖区的基层研究。

At the beginning of the founding of new China,the Southwest Bureau of the CPC Central Committee was one of the six political regions in China.Deng Xiaoping was the first Secretary of the Southwest Bureau of the CPC Central Committee,which was based in Chongqing.Since the Reform and Opening up,the historical materials about the Southwest Bureau such as Lectures of Deng Xiaoping Working on the Southwest,have been published gradually,which laying a preliminary foundation for the study of the Southwest Bureau.In terms of research content,the academic circle has done lots of research jobsinthe fields of military work,ethnic work,economic work,political power construction,Party construction,social construction and other aspects of the Southwest Bureau.Reviewing the existing studies the remarkable feature of the Southwest Bureau is focusing on Deng Xiaoping's administration.In order to develop the research of Southwest Bureau,it is necessary to sort out the basic documents paying attention to the integrity of the period and characters of Southwest Bureau strengthening the comparative research between Southwest Bureau and other regions coordinating the relationship between Deng Xiaoping and the Southwest Bureau,digging into the grass-roots research of Southwest Bureau.
