梵汉对音资料对于中古音研究来说,是非常重要而有意义的。因此,对于研究汉语上古音到中古音的发展演变来说,了解和熟悉梵汉对音,弄清楚它的原理、一般规则和应须注意的事项,熟悉这一时期梵汉对音的基本文献,是十分必要的。文章扼要介绍了梵语梵文、梵汉对音的基本知识和反映从上古到中古的梵汉对音材料,以供研究者参考。

Resources of transcription between Sanskrit and Chinese are very important for the study of ancient Chinese phonology.Therefore,it is necessary to understand and be familiar with transcription between Chinese and Sanskrit,its principles,general rules and matters to be noted,and the basic documents of the transcription between Chinese and Sanskrit in this period.This paper briefly introduces the basic knowledge of Sanskrit,its writing and sound,and the materials of transcription between Chinese and Sanskrit from the archaic to the ancient.
