The Japanese Nature of Japanese Art and the Mutual Influences of Eastern and Western Art:A Book Review of the Chinese Version of Takashina Shuji’s Insight of Japanese Art

日本美术史论家高阶秀尔所著《看日本美术的眼睛》一书的中文版于2017年与中国读者见面。此书收录了作者十几年来所撰写的一系列艺术评论文章。此篇书评依据该书的结构,选择介绍了其中几篇具有代表性的论文,强调了日本美术的连续性与延伸性的特征、日本与西欧艺术家之间的交互影响,以及重复的记忆对日本美学的影响等三方面的特点。

The Chinese version of the book,Insight of Japanese Art,written by the Japanese art historian,Takashina Shuji,met with the Chinese readers in 2017.The book contains a series of art review articles written by the author over more than a decade.Based on the structure of the book,this book review introduces several representative papers selected from the book,emphasizing the characteristics of continuity and extension in the Japanese art,the interaction between Japanese and Western European artists,and the influence of repeated memories on Japanese aesthetics.
