马来西亚槟城福建五大姓华侨家族聚落空间研究

Research on Settlements Space of the Big Five Clans in Penang,Malaysia

早期华侨虽身处海外,却与原乡家族联系紧密,海外华侨社会可以说是原乡社会关系的延伸,扩展了家族和侨乡在海外的空间维度。文章通过对马来西亚槟城代表性的福建五大姓家族聚落的实地调研,结合历史地图与族谱、碑刻等民间史料,从华侨家族聚落的形成发展、空间布局、建筑形态等方面进行分析,并通过与厦门原乡村落进行比较研究,梳理华侨家族在东南亚迁移定居形成的聚落空间特征。

During the early years,although many overseas Chinese lived abroad,they had strong connections with their families back in China.Overseas Chinese society has become an extension of the social relations in the original township,expanding the spatial dimension of the family and their hometowns.Based on the fieldwork conducted towards the significant Big Five Clans in Penang,Malaysia,this study based on historical maps,genealogy records,inscriptions and other historical documents,analyzes the influence of overseas Chinese in the formation of family settlements,spatial layouts and buildings.Meanwhile,it makes comparisons with the original villages in Xiamen to investigate the spatial characteristics of family settlements formed through the migration and settlement of overseas Chinese families in Southeast Asia.
