Object-chanting poetry had long been originated,but only began to flourish in the Southern dynasty with the effect of various factors.Object-chanting poetry in the Southern dynasties have the characteristics of universality,triviality and life oriented.They describe things in detail,vividness and delicacy,on which palace-style poetry have been formed.Liu’s poets of Pengcheng are the outstanding representatives of object-chanting poetry in the Southern dynasty.Their poems have the common characteristics of the object-chanting poetry in the Southern dynasty as well as their own uniqueness.There are a large proportion of poems describing women and poems represent spiritual sustenance,all with clear sense of allusion and the ability to be original and innovative.These characteristics make the bbject-chanting poetry of Liu’s poets in Pengcheng unique and worthy of further study.
