全球思想史研究是近年来欧美学术界新兴的一个研究领域,强调思想在全球空间传播时与不同的地方经验所发生的交融、碰撞、混杂等复杂现象。西方思想史研究经历了阿瑟·洛夫乔伊的观念史研究、昆廷·斯金纳的思想史研究,最终诞生了大卫·阿米蒂奇为代表的全球思想史研究。全球思想史研究继续向前发展,出现了多米尼克·萨克森迈尔注重小人物的微观视角研究以及近现代重要概念的中西互动研究。全球思想史研究方兴未艾,既开创了旧理论与新研究共存发展、相互借鉴的研究路径,又引发了研究对象精英化还是普众化、全球化还是民族化的历史思考。

The study of global intellectual history is a new research field in the western academic circles in recent years.It emphasizes such complex phenomena as the blending,collision and mixing of thoughts in different global experiences.The study of the history of western thoughts has gone through Arthur Lovejoy's study of history of ideas and Quentin Skinner's study of intellectual history,which finally gave birth to David Armitage's study of global intellectual history.The study of global intellectual history continues to move forward,and Dominic Sachsenmaier's micro-perspective research on ordinary people and the interaction between Chinese-Western interaction research on important concepts in the field of modern and contemporary history have emerged.The study of global intellectual history is still on the rise,which not only has created the research path of the coexistence and development of the old theory and the new research,but also provoked the historical thinking of whether the research objects are elitism or popularization,globalization or nationalization.
