A Study of Political Situation in Early Anglo-Saxon Era Based on Miracles in Bede's Historical Works

比德是英国"历史之父"。他的历史著作中记载了大量的"怪力乱神"类故事,即神迹。在这些神迹中,有不少发生在国王、贵族及王室成员等上层政治人物身上,蕴含着一些重要的历史信息。对神迹这种特殊史料进行较合理而细致的解读,有助于我们认识盎格鲁-撒克逊早期政治运行的一般状况、王权与教权的关系嬗变等问题。

Bede was a famous historian in early Medieval England.His historical works recorded a large number of miracle stories.Among these miracles,many happened to the upper class political figures such as kings,nobles and members of the royal family.Bede's miracle stories contained some important historical information.A careful interpretation of this special historical material will help us understand the general situation of political operations and the evolution of the relationship between royal power and religious power of early Anglo-Saxon era.
