Xi Jinping's series of discourses on the development of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)are closely related to their traditional culture.The latter is the theoretical basis,and the former is the specific application of the latter in TCM development.The relationship between them is reflected in four aspects:historical orientation,contemporary value,practical path and mutual learning of civilization.Xi Jinping objectively affirmed the historical status and value of Chinese excellent traditional culture and TCM,rationally analyzed their value and practical significance,and took the concept of"two innovations"and"mutual learning of civilization"as the spiritual guidelines for their contemporary inheritance and development.The revelation of the ideological connection between the two will contribute to a deeper understanding of Xi Jinping's discourse on TCM.
