Through the analysis of the polymorphism of the regularity of acupoint selection for the treatment of pediatric rectocele by ancient and modern medical doctors,it is found that the ancient and modern medical doctors treat pediatric rectocele with the holistic concept and syndrome differentiation as the guiding ideology, and with Buzhong Yiqi and Shengyang Gutuo as the principle of acupoint selection.Ancient and modern medical doctors all value the depth of acupuncture and the amount of moxibustion. But there are also great differences between ancient and modern literatures in the treatment of pediatric rectocele.Ancient doctors often use single-point prescription, modern doctors often use multi-point prescription.Ancient doctors pay attention to dosage and order, while modern doctors are more accurate in dosage and attach importance to the methods of reinforcing and reducing. The dialectic of qi,blood, body fluid is a common method used by ancient doctors, while modern doctors focus on the dialectic of zang-organs and etiology.Ancient doctors mainly use moxibustion therapy, modern doctors focus on the use of acupuncture and moxibustion therapy, increase the manipulation of massage, innovative use of acupoint injection therapy. The regularity of acupoint selection in pediatric rectocele provides a certain basis for future clinical practice. It is hoped that doctors can combine the medical experience of ancient and modern doctors to guide clinical work together.
