An Encounter within the Background of Sociality:A Study of Structuralism in Anthropology and Architecture

结构主义作为西方20世纪中后期最盛行的思潮之一,在人类学和建筑学中都产生了广泛影响。这两个学科中的结构主义在名号、流行时间、表述方式、关注对象上有所交叠,又在发展脉络、具体内容上有着各自的独立性,可以说是一次学科间巧妙的邂逅。人类学和建筑学,前者更重视解释世界,后者更重视改造世界,进而形成了两股结构主义思潮间的诸多差异;而两者对于建筑之社会性的共同关注,则为这一邂逅提供了关键性的思想基础。

As one of the most popular thoughts in mid-late twentieth centur y,struc turalism played an imp or tant role in both Anthrop ology and Architecture.Being popular roughly in the same time,structuralism in the two disciplines share the same name,similar forms of discourse and mutual interests,while their origin,development and contents are different from each other,which made a subtle interdisciplinary encounter.The divergence between the two streams of structuralism is caused by the fact:Anthropology aims to interpret the world,while Architecture aims to change the world.However,the common concern with the sociality of architecture provides the crucial intellectual foundation for the encounter.
