Investigation of the Dream Omen Lexicon in Tomb Epitaphs of the Tang Dynasty

本文通过对《唐代墓志汇编》及《唐代墓志汇编续集》中收录的唐人墓志进行全面梳理,将涉及梦兆的语汇内容分为降生梦兆、死亡梦兆及其它梦兆等三类进行考释,并对比敦煌写本《解梦书》及宋明时期《梦林玄解》,管窥唐代墓志中梦兆语汇的基本内涵及对后世的影响。

This paper conducted a comprehensive analysis of records about dream omens in the Tang epitaphs documented in Compilation of Tang Dynasty Tomb Epitaphs and Compilation of Tang Dynasty Tomb Epitaphs:Sequel.The authors classified related lexicons into omen of birth,omen of death,and other omens.Transmitted a comparison with the excavated texts of Jiemengshu(Interpreting Dreams)from Dunhuang and the tran smitted texts Menglin Xuanjie(Interpretation of Mysterious Dreams)dated to the Song and Ming periods,this paper summarized the basic contents of the dream omen lexicon and their impacts in later historical period.
