将东方音乐的神韵与西方音乐的精密组织形式融合为一体,创作出既有个性,又有技艺,既有现代意识,又有民族韵味的中国音乐,是中国当代音乐创作的一个追求和目标。在此音乐时代背景下,创作出既具有“亲民性”,又具有审美品格,体现地域音乐文化的作品,也是很多地方作曲家关注的创作问题。四川作曲家张坚,就是其中的一员,他在有关民族管弦乐队作品的创作中,倾注了近半个世纪的热情与执着。
