Professor NAN Zheng's Experience in The Treatment of Diabetic Nephropathy with Xiaoke Shen’an Decoction

南征教授首次提出糖尿病肾病的中医病名为“消渴肾病”,认为糖尿病患病日久,机体产生的痰浊、湿热、瘀滞、水饮等病理产物在体内堆积、互结成为致病因素“毒邪”,毒邪侵袭肾络,影响肾脏的气血运行和津液输布,致肾之血络痰结肿胀,肾体受伤,肾用失职,从而形成糖尿病肾病。在治疗过程中,紧握“毒损肾络”病机关键,就抓住了疾病的本质,起到执简驭繁的作用。其创立的治疗糖尿病肾病的有效验方“消渴肾安汤”,由榛花、大黄、土茯苓、黄芪等15味中药组成,分为解毒通络、扶正益肾、化瘀通络、导邪通络四大类,共同起到标本兼治的目的,共奏益肾解毒通络导邪的功效,在临床实践中取得了满意疗效。

Professor NAN Zheng first put forward the diabetic nephropathy’s TCM name as Xiaoke Shenbing.Through the research and discussion of“poison evil”and“kidney collaterals”,Professor NAN Zheng pointed out that toxin is the pathogenic factor of diabetic nephropathy,The key pathogenesis is“kidney collaterals impaired by toxin”,and throughout the course of the disease.In the process of treatment,the essence of the disease is grasped by getting the key of pathogenesis of“kidney collaterals impaired by toxin”.After suffering from diabetes for a long time,the pathological products such as phlegm,damp heat,stasis,etc.Produced by the body and become the pathogenic factors“toxin”.Toxin attack the kidney collaterals,cause the blood collateral of the kidney to swell,the kidney to be injured,and the normal physiological function of the kidney changed,so as to form diabetic nephropathy.Professor NAN Zheng created an effective prescription Xiaoke Shen’an Decoction for the treatment of this disease,which is composed of 15 traditional Chinese medicines such as hazelnut flower,rhubarb,tuckahoe and astragalus,etc.This prescription consists of four kinds of herbs:detoxifying and unblocking collaterals,strengthening kidney,removing blood stasis and unblocking collaterals,guiding pathogenic factors and unblocking collaterals.These four kinds of herbs play a role in protecting the kidney and treating diabetic nephropathy.This prescription has a good effect in clinical application.
