In order to improve the survival rate of afforestation in the arid area,this paper introduces the afforestation in the arid area in detail from the aspects of scientific selection of afforestation tree species,rational land acquisition before planting,water storage and moisture conservation,selection of high-quality and strong seedlings,selection of afforestation time,strengthening the management and protection of young forests,closing the mountain for afforestation and so on,I hope that the first modern forestry construction can be inspired.
