Ecological Wisdom is Human Wisdom

大自然本应按照自己的规律生息繁衍,然而人类的出现打破了自然的演替进程。其他物种只能通过改变基因和调整行为方式来适应环境、繁衍生息。而人类自定居以来,就开始不断改变环境,让环境来适应自己。然而世上并没有免费的午餐,从大自然中的每一次获得都要付出某些代价。在前工业社会,人类对大自然的改变相对来说还较为轻微。但是进入工业社会以后,人类对大自然干预的范围越来越广,强度越来越高,从自然中的索取也越来越多。在物质生活日益优越、社会财富不断积累的同时,我们却失去了新鲜的空气、清洁的水源、肥沃的土壤和诗意的栖居环境,面临着尖锐的生存和环境问题,原因几乎都来自于人类自身的贪婪。由于对舒适与富有的追求永无止境,而技术的进步又使得人类具有了改变环境的巨大能力,于是这种贪婪就变得愈发膨胀,这直接导致人类对自然资源的消耗超过了自然资源的再生能力,让地球的生态系统在赤字地运转。我们所面对的现实印证了甘地的预言,“地球能满足人类的需要,但满足不了人类的贪婪”,这种贪婪正在让人类自毁家园.

Nature should have lived and multiplied according to its own laws,but the emergence of mankind broke the natural succession process.Other species can only adapt to the environment and thrive by changing genes and adjusting behaviors.Since human settlements,humans have begun to change the environment and adapt the environment to themselves.However,there is no free lunch in the world,and every time you get it from nature,you have to pay a certain price.In the pre-industrial society,human changes to nature were relatively minor.However,after entering the industrial society,the scope of human intervention in nature has become wider and higher,the intensity has become higher and higher,and more and more have been obtained from nature.While material life is becoming increasingly superior and social wealth is constantly accumulating,we have lost fresh air,clean water,fertile soil and poetic habitat.We are facing acute survival and environmental problems.The reasons are almost all from the greed of humanity itself.Because the pursuit of comfort and wealth is endless,and technological progress has empowered humans with the huge ability to change the environment,this greed has become more and more inflated,which directly leads to the consumption of natural resources by humans over the regenerative capacity of natural resources,which makes the ecosystem of the earth run in deficit.The reality we face confirms Gandhi's prophecy,"The earth can meet human needs,but it cannot satisfy human greed".This greed is making humans destroy their homes.
