An Brief Self Introduction of Jing Jipeng

靖继鹏,男,吉林大学管理学院教授、博士生导师,1941年出生,祖籍山东章丘,1960年9月考入吉林工业大学,1965年毕业留校任教31988年破格晋升教授,1999年被聘为吉林工业大学技术经济专业博士生导师,2000年被聘为吉林工业大学情报学专业博士生导师。靖继鹏教授曾任吉林工业大学情报研究室主任、科研处副处长、情报工程系主任、情报科学研究所所长、吉林大学信息资源中心主任、管理学院院长等职,目前仍承担着《情报科学》编辑部荣誉主编的工作。

Jing Jipeng,bom in 1941,is a distinguised professor,Ph.D supervisor and honorary editor-in-chief of Information Science at the School of Management,Jilin University,and this is a memory of Jing Jipeng's self-introduction and what he has done in his career.Jing Jipeng had served as the director of Information Research Office,the Department of the Intelligence Engineering and the Institute of Information Science at Jilin University.Another thing is that he had taken the chair of the deputy director of the Scientific Research Office at the university.He had also worked as the dean of Management School and Information Resource Research Center of Jilin University.Professor Jing has not only made a great contribution to the establishment and development of information science of Jilin University,he has nurtured more than one hundred master students and 26 doctoral students in that subject as well.Even more remarkably,Professor Jing had presided several major scientific research projects and published more than 200 academic papers.He had also published 15 monographs and textbooks,such as Information Economics,Information Economics Analysis,Information Sociology,Information Science Theory and so on.Based on those achievements,Jing Jipeng,who has been awarded a number of national,provincial and ministerial awards,is one of the most influential scholars in the field of Information Science in China.
