彼得大帝即位之后,在俄国展开了一场全面欧化的改革,作为改革的重要一步,彼得堡被建立起来并成为俄国的首都。建设新都的过程体现了彼得大帝的锐意革新和强力意志。普希金创作的以彼得大帝为主题的诗歌《青铜骑士》把彼得大帝塑造为创世之神和城市的保护神,再现了彼得大帝身上的两种精神特质,并融入了这座城市的集体记忆,成为这座城市精神文化的重要内涵,支撑着彼得堡在三百年的历史中保持着勃勃生机。

After becoming the emperor,Peter the Great started a Europeanizing reform,and as an important step of the reform,Petersburg was built and became the capital of Russia.The progress of building a new capital reflected Peter’s innovative spirit and strong will.Pushkin’s poem The Bronze Knight with Peter the Great as the theme shaped him as the god of creation and the protector of the city,representing the two spirits in Peter the Great and integrating them into the collective memory of this city,which became an important part of the city culture that insures the vitality of Petersburg for three hundred years.
