摘要
立足于高校教师的研究者身份,探讨地方高校非英语学科教师学术英语能力发展需求。采取问卷调查和访谈方法收集数据,分析了地方高校非英语学科教师学术英语能力发展现状及学术英语学习的需求。调查发现,广大高校教师对英语学习有需求,巨大的科研压力要求教师们必须广泛阅读国内外文献甚至进行英文写作发表至国际期刊。因此,高校教师进修培训项目中应当充分考虑高校教师英语学术能力的发展,使高校教师具备一定的学术语言能力,帮助其更好地在科研领域做出贡献。
Based on the researcher identity of the university teachers,this paper tries to investigate the needs for the development of academic English ability among the local university teachers.Questionnaires and interviews are mainly adopted to collect the data to analyze the non-English-major in-service teachers′academic English proficiency as well as academic English learning needs.It has been found that there exist prevalent English learning needs among the vast majority of university teachers;under the great research pressure,the university teachers are required to read the relevant literature at home and abroad extensively and even write English papers for international publication.Therefore,it is suggested that the university teacher training program should take the development of teachers′academic English ability into account so as to equip the teachers with the ability to make greater academic contribution.
