《无声告白》对来自跨族裔家庭三位女性的生活经历和内心世界进行了细致的描绘,展现了她们遇到的来自社会的歧视、家庭的压力以及内心的苦闷,最终选择了不同的逃离方式,造成了不同的结果。通过分析女性屈服、迷失、成长三种逃离结果,向读者展示了精神困惑存在的普遍性。女性在面对困惑和焦虑时,一味地自欺逃避并不能摆脱困境,而是应当通过积极的自由选择打破困境,从而构建真正的自由和自我。

The novel Everything I Never Told You gives a detailed description of the life experience and inner world of three women from a multi-ethnic family,showing the discrimination from the society,the pressure from the family and the inner anguish they encountered.Finally,they chose different ways to escape and ended up with different results.By analyzing the three results of female submission,disorientation,and initiation,this paper shows the universal spiritual perplexity of women to readers.When women are faced with confusion and anxiety,they can’t get rid of the dilemma by self-deception.Instead,they should break the dilemma by positive free choice,so as to build a real freedom and self.
