木下杢太郎与和辻哲郎的奈良古佛像源流之争

The Controversy over the Origin of the Ancient Buddha Statues in Nara between Kinoshita Mokutarōand Watstuji Tetsurō

木下杢太郎(1885-1945)与和辻哲郎(1889-1960)之间的交往历来很少为研究者关注。但事实上在大正年间,两人在考察日本文化的过程中,思想上曾经有过非常密切的交往,奈良古佛像源流之争便是两人这种思想交流的一次剧烈碰撞。虽然这次论争之后,两人依旧各自坚持了自己的观点,但是论争中所展现的不同观点却反映出了近代日本知识分子在考察日本文化过程中复杂的思想样态与论述模式。

The communication between Kinoshita Mokutarō(1885-1945)and Watstuji Tetsurō(1889-1960)has not yet been widely studied by researchers.During the Taishōperiod,they had frequent communications when they were researching Japanese culture.The controversy over the origin of the ancient Buddha statues in Nara is an example of the collisions of thought that happened between them.The ideas they showed in this controversy reflected the complicated thought patterns and discussion models of modern Japanese intellectuals when thinking of Japanese culture,despite the fact that they continued to insist on their respective thoughts at the end of the controversy.
