The No.1 generator in Longtan Hydropower Plant was not equipped with reverse power protection when it was put into operation.In order to avoid the damage caused by the abnormal vibration of the generator due to the reverse power operation of the generator,the reverse power protection function was added in the modification of the generator-transformer protection of the unit.The calculation of the reverse power protection setting values,the operation notes and the application effects of the generator are introduced in detail.This work accumulated experience for the addition of reverse power protection in other units of the power plant.
