The local character is constantly transformed in the balance of family collectivism, social structure and power system, social stratification and political relationship, social consciousness and political culture. The evolution of peasants from identity to contract reflects the process of psychological belonging and value identification of peasant's local character at the conscious level and practical level. The coupling of the Communist Party of China's competition activities and the local character during the New Democratic Revolution shows multiple aspects of peasants:egalitarianism at the economic level;weakness, compromise exposed at the political level;the backwardness shown at the culture level. The local character of the farmers provides behavioral support for the competition:on the one hand, the simple character and the fine qualities of hard work have created abundant economic conditions for the New Democratic Revolution;on the other hand, the sense of small farmers, such as the revolutionary weakness, closedness and ignorance has become an obstacle for farmers to rise to their own class. In the mobilization and practice of the CCP's competition activities, the peasant class exerts their creativity and revolutionary enthusiasm, realizing their self-worth attribution, improving their democratic political consciousness and political status, constructing their political identity, shaping their social cohesion, and reflecting stripping process of the local character.
