驻地部队参与民族团结进步创建:云南藏区的实践与经验

A Garrison's Involvement in the Work for Ethnic Unity and Progress:Practice and Experience in the Tibetan-inhabited Area of Yunnan Province

全面深入持久开展民族团结进步创建是新时代推进民族团结进步事业发展的必然要求,人民军队从来都是推动民族团结进步的重要力量。驻迪庆部队同驻云南其他地区的部队一样,自新中国成立以来一直是迪庆社会经济发展的保障者和推动者,也是迪庆民族团结进步创建中的重要力量。党的十八大以来,驻迪庆部队通过基础设施建设、扶贫攻坚、抢险救灾、生态环境保护、军(警)寺共建等方式,积极参与迪庆民族团结进步创建工作,并逐渐形成学习并尊重民族语言文化、风俗习惯;协助建强基层战斗堡垒;依法治理民族宗教事务;大力培养军队少数民族干部等经验,为全国边疆地区的其他驻军参与民族团结进步创建活动提供了示范和借鉴。

It is a necessity in the new era to promote ethnic unity and progress in all aspects. The People’s Liberation Army of China is an important force in promoting ethnic unity and progress. Like other garrisons in other areas of Yunnan, the garrison of the People’s Liberation Army of China in Diqing has been the guarantor and promoter for Diqing’s socio-economic development as well as a key force maintaining the ethnic unity and progress in Diqing since the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the garrison in Diqing has actively participated in the work for ethnic unity and progress through building infrastructures, alleviating poverty, doing rescue and relief work, protecting the ecological environment, co-building military(police) garrisons and so on. This garrison has gradually obtained much experience in learning and respecting ethnic minority languages, cultures, customs and habits, helping the construction of the grass-roots fighting bastions, handling ethnic and religious affairs in accordance with the law, training ethnic minority leaders in the army and so on, which provides an exemplary model for other garrisons in the border areas of China.
