Language,Metaphor and Mental Image:an Analysis of Image Consciousness in the Philosophy of Language

分析语言哲学中蕴含着丰富的图像意识。分析语言哲学把语言作为世界的图像,这意味着另一种隐喻性图像意识的存在,即文学也可以看作是世界的图像;分析语言哲学隐喻意义上的图像意识与人们一般意义上所理解的图像意识具有较大的差别,这一差别建立于哲学诉求与一般性表述诉求之间的差异之上;语言描述与图像表述都可以产生心象,在心象上产生了交集,这一点不仅说明了语言描述与图像表述之间可以相互说明、相互提携,还能提高艺术的综合表现力,更为重要的是揭示出了两者之间可以相互替代的事实,这为解释不同艺术之间的互文提供了理论说明。

Analysis of language philosophy contains rich image consciousness.Analyzing the philosophy of language takes language as the image of the world,which means the existence of another metaphorical image consciousness,that is,literature can also be regarded as the image of the world.This paper analyzes the difference between the image consciousness in the metaphorical sense of linguistic philosophy and the image consciousness in the general sense which is based on the difference between the philosophical appeal and the general expression appeal.Linguistic description and image expression can produce mental image on which the intersection is generated,not only showing that linguistic description and image expression promote a mutual illustration,provide mutual support for each other,improve the comprehensive expression of art,but more importantly,it is revealed that they can be substitute for each other,which provides theoretical illustration for explaining the intertextuality between different arts.
