The Lost Historian:A Study On Zhu Shu’s History of the Late Ming Dynasty

朱书是清初杰出的学者。目前,学界大多关注朱书在文学方面的成就,对于他的史学成就则鲜有研究。实际上,朱书在史学上,尤其是在晚明史领域取得了很大的成就,《癸壬录》是其代表作。他的晚明史撰述重视史料的收集,着力表彰忠节,学术旨趣在探讨明朝败亡的原因。

Zhu Shu was an outstanding scholar in the early Qing Dynasty.At present,the academic circle mostly pays attention to Zhu Shu’s achievements in literature,but seldom studies his historical achievements.In fact,Zhu Shu has made great achievements in historiography,especially in the field of late Ming history and Gui Ren Lu is his representative work.His works on the history of the late Ming Dynasty paid attention to the collection of historical materials and focused on honoring the loyalty and chastity.His academic purpose was to explore the causes of the downfall of the Ming Dynasty.
