With the development of information technology,ubiquitous reading has become the breakthrough point for libraries to realize transformation and development.The paper makes an analysis on the necessity of the transformation for libraries under the background of ubiquitous reading,and analyzes the driving forces of library transformation and development from the dimensions of ubiquitous reading service concept,object,resource,function and publicity,in a move to find a sustainable development way for libraries to seize the opportunity of this era and meet the environmental challenges.
