摘要
《广雅》"闲,正也"条中的"闲"字,清代王念孙及钱大昭虽有释义,但并非确诂。《诗经》中的一些经文和《毛传》《郑笺》,可作为该条很坚实的书证。以此条释义反观《诗·颂·殷武》"旅楹有闲",就会发现《韩诗》释"闲"为"大"为误训。准此,《汉语大字典》《汉语大词典》"闲"下有【大】义,《汉语大词典》"閒"下有【熟习】义,皆误。【大】义当作"閒",【熟习】义当作"闲"。两字虽有所通,但亦当有所专。
Xian(闲), Zheng(正) Ye(也) in Guangya(广雅) was explained by Wang Niansun(王念孙) and Qian Dazhao(钱大昭), but it was not the correct conclusion. Some scriptures in the Mao Zhuan(毛传) and Zheng Jian(郑笺) can serve as solid documentary evidence for this interpretation. With this explanation, if you look at the sentence Lv Ying You Xian(旅楹有闲) in Shi.Song.Yinwu(诗·颂·殷武) on the contrary, you will find that it is wrong to interpret Xian(闲)as large in Hanshi(韩诗). Xian(闲) in the Grand Chinese Dictionary(汉语大词典) has the semantic meaning of large, while Xian(閒) has the semantic meaning of skilled, both of which are wrong. The semantic meaning of large should be written as Xian(閒), and the semantic meaning of straight should be written as Xian(闲). Although the two words can be in common use, there still should be a difference.
