Development Trend of Kashmir Issue and Its Impact on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor

克什米尔问题是印巴关系的焦点,也是印度对"一带一路"倡议及中巴经济走廊持消极态度的重要因素。对此,中国应在立足克什米尔问题历史与现状的基础上,坚持原则立场,进一步加强中巴经济走廊的"硬联通"与"软联通"建设,促进地区经济发展、民心相通和文明融合。

The India-Pakistan Kashmir issue is very complicated in its historical origins,with alternative changes of regional conflicts and relaxation and long-term dilemma.It is less likely for the two countries to launch any large-scale war on the Kashmir issue any more,but there will be more regional contradictions leading to continual small-scale conflicts between the two countries.And issues of governance and development have become an eager expectation and policy orientation of parties inside and outside the region,which may be an important factor to affect the direction of the Kashmir issue in the future.The evolutionary logic and developmental trend formed by the Kashmir issue in the dilemma pose great challenges to the construction of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor(CPEC),which can bring benefits if dealt with properly,however.In this regard,China'should adhere to its principled position on the basis of the history and current status of the Kashmir issue,and further strengthen the construction of the“hard connectivity”and“soft connectivity”in the CPEC,so as to promote the regional economic development,the understandings between the peoples,and the interactions of the civilizations.
