Looking back on the developing process of socialist literature and art since the founding of the People s Republic of China,history shows us that socialist literature and art has always led the trend of the times,and presented the style and spirit of the times.In the early years of the founding of the PRC,reforms that destroy the old and establish the new were launched,which initiated a new journey for the development of new China's literature and art.From the late 1950s to the late 1970s,literature and art work continued exploration through twists and turns.It experienced rectification,restoration,reaffirmation of the principles of literary and artistic principles,and the clarion of the era of reform and opening up from the late 1970s to the early 1990s.After entering the new century,new ideas such as the core values of socialism and a harmonious literary and artistic aesthetics continuously enriched the development of socialist literature and art s new connotation.Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,under the background of the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics,literature and art work will shoulder the important tasks and historical mission of the new era.By systematically sorting out,reviewing,and summarizing the characteristics and achievements of the development of literature and art since the founding of New China,we can have a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the laws of literature and art development and seize them,which has profound historical and practical significance for promoting the prosperity of socialist culture in the new era and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
