In order to further accurately calculate and deeply analyze the carbon emissions of civil aviation, the carbon emissions in the landing and take-off(LTO)phase and the climb cruise and descent(CCD)phase of Chinese aircrafts were calculated based on the operation data of national passenger and cargo flights from 2007 to 2016,and the carbon emissions in the CCD phase of flights were distributed to relevant provinces by route segments. Finally, the calculation results and evolution characteristics of the carbon emissions of civil aviation were analyzed from the national, regional and provincial levels respectively. The results show that the total amount of carbon emissions from aircrafts in China is increasing rapidly and continuously. The eastern region accounts for the highest proportion of the country’s total emissions, followed by the central and western regions, but the differences between regions have narrowed.Carbon emission in CCD stage is the main emission in aircraft operation.Provincial carbon emissions are not only related to the level of development of the aviation industry in the province, but also to the geographical location and area of the province. The contribution of passive emissions to total carbon emissions in most provinces is higher than that of active emissions.
