Multi-point statistics uses templates to replace the variation function in traditional geostatistics,providing a new model for geological modeling.This article mainly expounds the principles,methods and research status of multi-point statistics.At the same time,combined with the current research hotspot city 3 D geological modeling technology,the feasibility of applying multi-point statistics to the city 3 D geological modeling technology is discussed.
