In the struggle for power between Kublai Khan and Arik-buga,the Yan-Zhao region is valued by both sides for its important strategic position.Kublai Khan occupies the region by giving posts to Yan-Zhao ministers and taking it as the economic and military center,mobilizes forces to fight against Arik-buga in the north.The Yan-Zhao region has guaranteed the victory of Kublai Khan militarily as well as economically.Therefore,the occupation of Yan-Zhao region is one of the vital elements of the victory of Kublai Khan’s struggle for power.
