Long Regret I'm not Master of My Own--An Analysis of Three Pieces of Matched-Rhyme Poems by Su Shi in Huangzhou Period

苏轼在黄州期间,陷入了人生仕途的低谷,却迎来了文学创作的高峰。在谪贬黄州的4年中,他分别在元丰四年、五年、六年的同一天(正月二十日)写下了三首同韵诗。这三首同韵诗不仅揭示了他在黄州期间精妙细微的思想变化,折射了他曲折复杂的心路历程,还见证了“一代文宗”由孤独、忧愤逐渐走向旷达、超拔这一脱胎换骨的蜕变、涅槃重生的过程。

In Huangzhou,Su Shi was in breakdowns in official career,while he reached the peak season in his own literary creation.During four-year-relegation there,he wrote three pieces of rhyme-matching poems on the same day(January 20th on the lunar calendar)in the fourth(1081),fifth(1082)and sixth year(1083)of Yuanfeng.These three pieces of poems not only revealed his subtle changes in thinking,showed his complicated shift in feeling,but also reflected the gradual transformation and rebirth of an outstanding literary master from loneliness,anxiety and indignation towards being broad-minded and detachment.
