虚拟语料库辅助专门用途英语教学的实践路径研究——以体育英语为例

A Study on Practical Paths to English for Specific Purposes Teaching Driven by Virtual Corpus——Taking Sports English as an Example

专门用途英语(English for Specific Purposes,简称ESP)教学是大学英语改革的重要方向。然而,受制于ESP资源匮乏难觅等因素,ESP教学的改革常难以有效开展。依托在线语料库平台、构建虚拟ESP语料库并运用于教学中是突破目标语料短缺瓶颈的一种便捷、高效的解决方案。本研究以体育英语为例,从词汇教学、阅读教学和写作教学三方面入手,举例阐释虚拟体育英语语料库驱动的教学模式在教学过程中的实践路径,以期为其他学科ESP教学质量的提高和改革步伐的加快提供参考思路。

English for Specific Purposes(ESP)teaching is an important direction of college English teaching. However, due to the lack of ESP resources and other factors, ESP teaching reform is often difficult to carry out effectively. Relying on online corpus platform, constructing virtual ESP corpus and applying it to practice is a convenient and efficient solution to enrich inadequate ESP materials. Taking sports English as an example, this research illustrates the practical path of employing corpus into ESP teaching, including teaching lexical, reading and writing, so as to provide reference for ESP teaching in other disciplines,improve teaching quality and efficiency, and accelerate the process of teaching reform.
