新实践美学应该关心人类的生活,把美学理论与现实生活紧密联系起来,建构起自己的生活美学。社会生活本质上就是实践的,没有实践就不存在社会生活,因此,人类的社会实践(物质生产、话语生产、精神生产)是新实践美学的生活美学的逻辑起点。一般说来,生活可以划分为物质生活、符号生活和精神生活。物质生活是人类的日常生活。日常生活审美化和艺术化是美学的本根。物质生活美学(日常生活美学)就是研究人类的物质生活对人的审美关系的分支美学。符号生活是人类的社会身份、社会职业、社会角色所显示的意义的生活。符号生活美学就是研究人的社会身份、社会职业、社会角色对人的审美关系的分支美学。精神生活是人类的认知、情感、意志所显示出来的生活。精神生活美学是研究人类认知生活、情感生活、意志生活对人的审美关系的分支美学。新实践美学的生活美学追求物质生活、符号生活和精神生活的有机融合,逐步实现人生的真理境界、审美境界和自由境界,以塑造自由全面发展的人。
