新时代英语教师基本素养探究

Study on English Teachers’Essential Qualities in the New Era

英语教师担负着保证英语课堂教学效果以及提高学生综合英语能力的重任。新时代的英语教师,更应该注重自身基本素养的提升。笔者认为,合格的英语教师,品德是根本,扎实的语言基本功和学科知识是基础,还应具备掌控课堂的综合能力、中西结合的开放思维以及参与教育改革的意识和不懈的终身学习。

English teachers are responsible for ensuring English classroom teaching effect and improving students’comprehensive English ability.In the new era,English teachers should pay more attention to the improvement of their basic qualities.The author believes that a qualified English teacher should have moral character as the fundamental,solid basic language skills and subject knowledge as the foundation.Moreover,they also have comprehensive ability to control the classroom,open thinking of combining Chinese and Western cultures,awareness to participate in educational reform and unremitting lifelong learning.
